It's good to have grandparents.....

My grandpa turned 90. I feel so bless to have him with us.

He is a retired soldier and is healthy compared to many people his age and I am very happy for him.

I crocheted a scarf to thank him for being my grandpa and for all the love and care he showers on me. I wanted him to try it on and rushed to give it to him on a weekend. He was so happy and proudly wore it to pose for the snap, even in the humid 30+ degree temperature!

This is the scarf I was working on when I wrote this. It looks beautiful and feels squishy with the stitch I used all through. It is very cosy and warm and my grandpa loved it instantly.

Now to the details of the scarf.

The scarf is made of woollen yarn from a local yarn store. I used 7 balls of yarn and a 6 mm hook. Took me almost two weeks, but I was working on it in between my chores, errands and even my coffee. Crocheted in Waffle stitch all through it is kind of a super scarf, with the size slightly bigger than any ordinary scarf. My grandpa is quite tall, stands over 6 feet and I wanted the scarf to be long and broad enough to cover his neck and ears on a cold windy day.
